Mystic Mind is the DJing alias for Toronto’s Navid Z. A veteran of the Toronto’s electronic music scene for well over a decade, Navid fell in love with the trance sound being championed by many of the world’s top DJ’s around the turn of the century. It was not long before he was a weekly regular patron at some of Toronto’s top venues such as System sound bar, Meow and The Guvernment.

It was not until around 2003 when Navid really found his stomping ground in the form of the now defunct Richmond Hill Nightclub Viva night club. It was there he witnessed legendary DJ’s such as Orkidea, Nu-NRG, Matt Hardwick, and one of his leading inspirations John ‘00’Fleming as well as countless other acts. He worked for many years at the club and later promoted a Trance night which featured such big international acts as Jon O’Bir and Mike Foyle.

In 2010, Navid took his love of electronic music to the next level and started his DJing career. Since then, he has played gigs at Vola Nightclub and has opened for international artists such as Luis Junior and John ‘00’ Fleming at Toika club in Toronto. Expect anything from deep progressive house to banging techno from a Mystic Mind live set as he is already being proclaimed as one of Toronto’s most diversified acts. Keep an eye out for his upcoming gigs to venues near you.
