Dr. Rebekah Rooney on Oilsand Reclamation Plans & Peatland Loss

This week saw a release of a major new scientific study on the reclamation
of the Alberta oilsands. This study quantifies for the first time the
changes in the ecology and ecological services offered by the areas which
are to be reclaimed after mining operations are complete. Terra Informa
Corespondent Myles curry met up with Dr Rebekah Rooney a primary author of
the report and former contributor to Terra Informa to get a summary of
what these new findings reveal about the tar sands cumulative impacts.
