    @The BeatleBronies: The singer in the first two verses and second chorus is Rarity. The singer in the first chorus and bridge is Twilight.

    Thank you to everyone for your comments so far! Each bit of constructive criticism helps!

    Nice Job Guys! I'm really looking forward to this project and I can't wait to hear more.

    Just one thing, it's kinda hard to tell the difference between Twilight and Rarity. Their singing voices are so similar. Who's singing at the beginning?

    Pierce is probably right about the details...but still, good job! =)

    Right, I'm so sorry I forgot to say but all of your voices are WONDERFUL!

    Pierce is right, everyone's on key and the song is right-on, but it needs EQ and mastering. The vocals come across as too bright in the highs and not warm enough in the lows (not by any fault of the singers!!! That's how microphone capsules work, and each mic will have different properties to be accounted for), but that's just a matter of using a few tools of the trade. Adobe Audition is fantastic for this stuff, and I love mixing and mastering female vocals (I'm currently doing a lot of work with the MLR community) but its because of that workload that I can't personally take on another pupil or do the work myself. Just letting you know that Pierce isn't wrong...its not glaring, its just not up on that pro level, and EQ is the difference. Also, we ladies kick serious singing ass. Even without that final spitshine and polish, its a lovely piece.

    @djbtown:
    I think all it really needs to sound it's best would be a quick and easy vocal effect, just a little reverb would make it sound pro. iZotope Ozone 4 is a great effects program for that, it has an effect for vocals "Vocals- EQ, Dynamics, Reverb, Tape Saturation" is what the effect is called. I'm not saying this to be bitter or anything, it's just a little bit of advice to make the song hit the full potential I know it has. I'd offer to do it myself, but I've got a lot of work on my plate D: I'm sorry, dunhurtme *duck*

    Remember when this used to be a song about Fluttershy? (In-joke.)

    @Pierce Smoulder: I've listened to this song so many numerous times that I have to ask about the quality of your headphones, since I've not noticed any mixing problems with the song at all. What was it, exactly, that you noticed?

    @Pierce Smoulder: Brenton here, I did the editing and mastering, and I'm sorry if it's not up to your standards. We did increase the relative volume of the instrumental since the previous release, possibly not enough. Conquer Your Fear (Single) by djbtown/ has normalized a cappella and instrumental tracks, if you want to give the mix a try yourself. Message me if you want more stems.

    I know I'm bein' a sour apple and all about this, but I think someone who knows about mixing vocals should fix this up a bit. Bringing down the volume to be level with the instrumental, and softening the voices with either a vocal mixer or a small reverb effect should make it sound worlds better.
    I want to hear the best of this song, it's almost there, but not quite D:
