Music Mandi is the official music service by London based music composer and producer Jatanil Banerjee.

BIO

Jatanil is a singer, songwriter, percussionist composer and producer . His musical journey started with Hindustani Classical music under the guidance of his parents. Born in a family of musicians he was blessed with the associations of great classical musicians of India. His musical training continued parallel to the normal school and college education. He was equally groomed with his performing skills too. He earned a place at Royal College of Music to study Composition for Screen at the master’s level. He received several scholarshipsfor his study at RCM. A Lucy Ann Jones Scholar and a Liverhulme trust Scholar, Jatanil has worked in the much acclaimed BBC2 documentary ‘Story of India’ by Michael Wood. He received his further training in Vocal music from Gautam Mukherji and Suresh Wadkar in Mumbai. Veteran Harmonica maestro Rustom Karwa guided him during his initial training in the Western music before coming over to London at RCM. Under the guidance of David Burnand, Howard Davidson, Michael Oliva, Mike McEvoy, Joseph Horowitz, Miguel Mera, Avgoustos Psillas and Vasco Hexel, Jatanil has developed a very unique style in his compositional approach for films.
