To describe Marcia Carr, a former jazz dancer as a woman of many talents would be truly apt. A deejay of long stature and also a member of the Ladybugz collective she indeed has many a string to her bow.

She has graced the decks at many events and social soiress over the years to recent haunts like Is It LIVE, Mind Fluid, Whistle Bump, Southport Weekender, Right Area, Shelter, Back II Basics, Southport Sessions, House Huntin, Weekending amongst others. Playing regularly on the international circuit too Marcia's a well renonwned figure within the realms of quality underground Dance. Having spun with some honorary names over the years that include Kerri Chandler, Phil Asher, Paul 'Anderson, Frankie Valentine, Norman Jay MBE, Larry Heard, Jeremy Newall, Seamus Haji, Teddy Douglas (The Basement Boys), Marc Mac, Ricky Morrison, Bert Bevans, DJ Paulette, Kevin Beadle, Johnny Reckless, Jazzie B, Cosmo, Rachel Aubern and many others. On a night off Marcia still has a yearning to take to the dance floor.

Her deeper, inspirational, soulful, jazzy style encompassing tech house and broken beat have graced the airwaves of a variety of radio stations as far flung as Sri Lanka to our European neighbours - Estonia, Finland, Norway, Switzerland and in the UK recently, at venues like the Ministry Of Sound on-line alongside the likes of Bob Sinclair, David Morales and Masters At Work.

Aside from having worked on UK dance stations House fm, pushfm and supplying even more guest mixes on stations around the world, presently, Marcia hosts an inspirational dance show, the Soul Testaments on G Force Network www.gforceradionetwork.com.1st ,1 Saturday of each month.

She's also fitting in freelance contributions to I-DJ, http://basic-soul.com and the Soul Survivors magazines. Marcia had done promotional PR work for distinct record labels and artists like The Basement Boys, Phil Asher, Kajmere Sound (The Rebirth), Peven Everett, Judah & Secret, Souled, The Royal priesthood and others, as well as turning her hand at producing and remix work in the studio and music consultancy which also keeps her schedule busy.

It's no wonder then that her diversity and knowledge perfectly illustrates exactly why she very much in demand.
