About

Yes, that’s his real name. Disregarding the lines of genre and tempo and equipped with a versatile array of tunes new and old, Nicewonger has rocked parties on three continents over the last 8 years. From the south coast of Portugal to the islands of Thailand, his focus has always been locked on arranging diverse sets that constantly engage the body, mind and spirit of those on the dance floor.

Settling back in Portland in 2008, Adam concentrated his efforts on making an impression in the Pacific Northwest scene that sparked his love for electronic music.

He has since become well known in the tight knit Portland scene and has been blessed with the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Ott, Bird of Prey, Bassbin Twins, Wolfgang Gartner, The Liquid Stranger, Datsik, Noah D, Mat The Alien, Mochipet, Egyptian Lover, Pezzner, Christian Martin, J.Phlip and many others.

In 2009, Adam unintentionally became the Portland ambassador to Mat the Alien’s REALLY GOOD phenomenon. After returning from the Shambhala festival in B.C. he made a sign and took it with him to a local Portland festival. The result was a an explosion of REALLY GOOD sightings at parties throughout the region, a facebook group with more than 300 followers, and Portland’s own REALLY GOOD party headlined by Mat the Alien himself.

Never one to be taken too seriously, Nicewonger is known to be most comfortable in a DJ booth dressed for success in a shirt and tie while barefoot and sans pants, a look that has come to be known as business on top, party on the bottom. When he’s not in the booth, you can usually find him out on the dance floor, doing “The Wong Dance” so to speak.
