Born in Glasgow in 1978, Mr.Livewire grew up absorbing house and techno music after hearing mix tapes from DJ Twitch while in 3rd and 4th year in high school. And later with the help of legendary nights like Pure at the venue in Edinburgh and the mighty Subculture at the Sub Club in Glasgow.

Relying on his fake ID to get through the door, he would often blag his way into Pure and be lucky enough to catch early sets from guests such as, Suburban Knights, Derrick May. Jeff Mills ,Carl Craig, Green Velvet, Ritchie Hawtin and Andy Weatherall.

''I can remember getting my pure membership card on my first night there, I was member 3889 if I remember correctly and only about 14 years old, haha.''

Totally Mesmerized by the sound of second wave Detroit techno. And the Chicago house sound of the time; Gemini, Boo Williams, Glenn Underground, Cajmere ,Kerri Chandler and .the rest! He got his first set of decks in 1993 and was a regular in the city's underground party scene by fifteen.

Livewire put out his first record in September 2004 on Lady D's, D'lectable Music imprint. Other artists on the label have included Glenn Underground, Jamie Principle, E Smoove, Mel Hammond and more.

With a deep interest in post production and mastering, he has had the opportunity to master various Ep's for Ben Parkinson's Boe Recordings, for artists such as; Keith Wadsworth,Kink and David Labeij.
