New Songs From Sandy Row is an album that was created as the result of a four-month community music project that ran from December 2010 until March 2011 in the Sandy Row area of Belfast, Northern Ireland.The project was led by Moving on Music (www.movingonmusic.co.uk). Professional musicians David Preston, Rohan Young (aka Scorpion Jack) and Joel Murphy worked with young people aged 8-15 to create and perform all the music on the CD (funded by Belfast City Council's Development and Outreach Initiative in partnership with Moving on Music, Sandy Row Community Forum, Sandy Row Residents Association and BELB Charter Youth Club.
