    YOU NEVER KNOW (The Forks)
Composer: Riley B. King / Joe Bihari
    Recorded Summer 2008 / Post Production 2011

Another track from The Forks and good proof that Brian and John hadn’t lost any of their blues finesse. Bri had dalliances with many a musical style yet he would always return to his first love, the music he’d bought his ‘59 Les Paul to play. Blues was home.
He kept that guitar (purchased, by the way, from Selmers in Charing Cross Road for the vast sum of £148 on 28th September ’65 – I still have the HP agreement) for many years and when I picture him, it is always with that machine around his neck, belting out one of his beautifully crafted solos.

Well you’ll never know how you hurt me, baby
    How bad I feel inside
You’ll never know how you hurt me
    How bad I feel inside
I believed you when you said you loved me
    But I know you lied

And when I lay down in darkness
I keep hearin' your sweet voice
When I lay down in darkness, babe
I keep hearin' your sweet voice
And I remember you at church, woman, oh, and how I rejoice

    A lot of people talkin'
And I don't care what they say
I realise a lot of people are talkin', baby
And I don't care what they say
I’m no good without you and I want you home to stay

If you ever change your mind, babe
Won't you please come on home
If you ever change your mind
Won't you please come on home
    I'm no good without you
And you're no good to me gone

    Brian Reeves: Guitar, Vocals.
    John Lancaster: Keyboards
