Happy tracks are fine, but a touch of melancholy here and there is very welcome too. Same with volume: you need quiet to feel the loud, and you need sad to feel the cheerful.
Threw in a few goodies: an unreleased track from the upcoming EP on Gomma, and a Count Jackula track coming soon on Discotexas.
I always wanted to use the initial acapella from Lil Louis 'Club Lonely' on a mix, and now found the perfect match for it: Mode's Lo-Fi Odyssey, out soon on Codek, straight from the In Flagranti camp.
If you pay close attention you'll see the new Glimmers single on Gomma - which is downright awesome - along with Lorenz Rhode's brand new remix for Yelle, a new Tensnake, Black Van, Loin Brothers, Munk - all gems.
Also: two Chic produced tracks (Carly Simon's 'Why' and David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' on the Dimitri from Tokyo edit). Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards are two of my favorite performers AND songwriters AND producers.
