Our sufferings have a purpose if we belong to Christ. They serve to make us more like Him! In the New Testament Peter writes: "[Trials] have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." Sometimes from the midst of suffering we cry out "why!", thankfully for us there is always an answer...
