It's a mess, but it's a nice mess, rhythm section is old-school flavoured and the harmonics are unusual and interesting. cool work

    2. mostlyfodder on September 07, 2009 02:56

@narcofunk: yea, like most of my stuff. for real i've learned that it's kind of what i do. that's really my goal is to simplify things up a bit and draw them out more slowly. not easy for some reason. i appreciate your always honest comments so thanks for listening. -mf

very evolvingy! i dont think evolvingy is a real word though. :)

    2. mostlyfodder on August 25, 2009 01:51

@WooZee: oh it is absolutely a word, and thanks! that's exactly what i was thinking of at around 0.45 in the track. sort of elemental evolvingly sounds of the primordial soup. like the breath/water/heart beat/fission sounds in that part of the track. they are totally meant to be evolvy.

Gotta agree with some of the comments here - it doesn't settle down, but really keeps the energy going. You never quite know where it's going to go... Liking it.

This melodic hythm is very calming and the sections make me think of green forests, waterfalls, and as the beat pick up birds ascending.

    2. mostlyfodder on May 20, 2009 17:18

@MoPetto: no doubt this part of the guitar gives the shivvers man.. actually the whole guitar piece is a sort of unsettling blend of mystery and inspiration.

    2. mostlyfodder on July 12, 2009 00:59

@mrmedz: thanks- this was the toughest part to mix; mixing together different splices of piedra de sol's guitar playing as seamlessly as possible. this is probably my favorite part of the track too b/c i spent the most time on it..
