Moot Davis’s third release, “Man About Town” was a long time in the making.Moot says “I wrote most of the songs while I was living in New Zealand in 2008.I then moved to Austin, TX in 2009 and kept working on those songs. In 2010 I was wanting to get back to familiar territory,so I decided to move home to New Jersey, which put it all in perspective.”
Once he got back, Moot put together a lab band of sorts consisting of veteran bar band players to rehearse and bounce ideas of off. From these sessions came the material for this recording.
Moot worked with Kenny Vaughn of Marty Stuart’s band, the Fabulous Superlatives, many of whom played on the album.”Working with Kenny was great,” says Moot.”He had a clear vision for the sound I was going for.”
