Now living in Montreal, DJ duo Montreal Funky Monkeys members, MrPopo (co-owner of Synchro Records in 2001-2002) and DJ Marsh, are originally from Quebec City where their interest in electronic music started in the early 90s. Influenced by trance and techno in their beginnings, they are now house heads playing deep, funky, jazzy and jackin house music. In the past years, they played in bars/clubs like Cherry (Eat my Cherry night), Billy Kun, Bubbles, Fourmi Atomic, Bières et cie, and a bunch of house/loft parties. They also made the crowd dance in friend's weddings and at 'Festin Funky 4' opening for Aki Bergen.

Recently, they were offered a monthly guest appearance on beatwinus.fr, a soulful house web radio based in Paris. They also host a show on myhouseyourhouse.net every two saturdays from 11:00PM to 01:00AM.

Their major influences and favorite artists include: Wattie Green, Corduroy Mavericks, Kinky Movement, Jackin' Box, South Of Roosevelt, Sonny Fodera, The Sound Republic, Joshua Heath, Inland Knights, d-t3ch, The Sound Diggers, Nate Laurence, Fred Everything and Jay West, just to name a few.

With a combined experience of over 30 years behind the turntables, they will FUNK your world with quality musical selections, groovy bass lines and mad beats!!
