About
Based outta Montreal this label is bringing fire in dubstep form. Their first release in Dec. of ‘09 from Graish starts right off with some raw ish. The title track Nasal Discharge has a funny ass vocal and drops into a rhythmic bassline. Lamb’s Bread & Cakehole are full-on jungle influenced dubstep. Great for all you crossovers! And Run The Plate is for sure anthem material.
Their 2nd Release Mai Capitana from producer Sonotech of Venezuela features some latin-inspired intros on both tracks and each proceeds to unleash the fury through bass gnarled latin fusion.
The Not For Radio EP title track sums up exactly what i think about the radio. Anarky & Bankster round this album out with 4 tracks each. Anarky reminds us why we listen to this music. The Bass. OOoohh!! The bass.
Feel The Vibrations brings in a loose bassline and beats it up like an old hooker and The Crowd Gods Mad (Gangsta Remix) is some nasty oscillating hits over some atmospherics. Bankster comes with some heavy reggae/jungle influenced tunes. Lickshot’s got one of the dopest melodies i’ve heard, ill-ass underground hip-hop vibe with some minimal wobble in the background.
Fast forward 6 releases and 3 months later and the world has seen this reggae/breaks/electro/jungle/hip-hop inspired dubstep label carve out a name for themselves. Never forgetting to keep massive concentrations of bass in the mix Monkey Dub definitely covers the spectrum from melodic, minimal dubstep, to dubbed out reggae styles, to the full on dancefloor smashers.
