Monkey Beats has been set up by Stuart Morton and music producer/remix artist/music technology lecturer Ian Round. We are from Birmingham and West Bromwich (respectively) in the UK and have been bouncing around to House Music for as long as we can remember. With Monkey Beats we are aiming to predominantly put out House Music in its broadest range whilst also taking care not to distance ourselves from the new sounds that are currently developing here in the UK… ie Wonky, Fidget, Garage etc

Monkey Beats as a project is engineered and produced by Ian Round, who’s tracks “Eivissa”, “Dancin” and “Understand House” have been in much demand. Ian currently has tracks licensed to:

“Good 4 U”, has brought together a fusion of house and electro - bordering on what many are calling WONKY!! Whilst “Get Up”, incorporates 4X4 and bassline. The BIG remix of “Get Up” comes from the UK Garage outfit Merkury & Screama. The Merkury & Screama remix has been hammered in UK on the BBC’s Radio 1Xtra by Ministry Of Sound’s DJ Q & Gusto Records Cameo. Anyone who wants it let us know.

This project is a continuation of Monkey Beats 1 but taking our favourite track “Get Up”, and getting the main man Ian Round to drop a dance floor destroying remix. It will be no surprise then that Interest in this project has already started coming in from EMI and Ministry Of Sound!! To add to an already sizzling release, we have licensed “Best Thing”, from our boys Merkury & Screama and got in the studio and mixed down a weighty remix that is rather large. Next up we have brought in Luvstuff and Wongo to drop two equally heavy remixes. This release will see the Monkey Beats formula go digital for the first time to finally appeal to all customers around the globe!!

This project is a showcase of Ian’s most recent club tracks and all appear in there original mixes. “Crank This”, is a seriously heavy club tune. “Budapest”, has a middle eastern vibes (hence the title) and has wobbly, wonky bass as well as a distinct break beat kick drum pattern. Finally the much talked about “Everything & Nothing”, the title track of this EP see’s Ian going down a Melodic & Uplifting Pryda influenced route.

This hot new project is a fantastic A&R signing from Monkey Beats boss Stu Morton. Here Stu has brought in the legendary Marc Leaf (of Kiss Da Funk Fame) and Jamie B with there uplifting track ,"Can't Stop This Feeling". Once again this is MONKEY in every kind of way!!

For remixes Stu has brought in Luvstuff once again!! Here the Brummie lads drop a sublime remix that will be igninting dancefloors for months to come. Aquilaganja is next up with his bass heavy remix that will have Jacking House fans and Electro DJ's beggin for more (Stu recently commented after playing this at Gatecrasher.... "Cor blimey, this is 'ard as nails!!").

Next up are our currently DIGITAL ONLY remixes from Jackinori and Ian Round (We plan to release the Jackinori Remix on Marc & Jamie's NEXT Vinyl release, which we are just putting the finishing touches too...). Ash as some will know him as has provided us with hours of late night listening, recently topping the DJ Download Charts with his "Ba Bada", release.. we are expecting the same once again from this Production Wizard. Finally Ian Round our main man was in his studio one day... and came up with this!! His first bassline remix!! So just for fun we thought we would tag it onto the release AS THE FLIPPING FEEDBACK has been HUGE!!
