Rhasaan, one of the Bluesiest of them all. He popularized circular breathing and could play a solo non stop for well over 15 minutes. An American musical master, like Yusef Lateef whose life, stage presence, and musical wizardry will always be cherished. Thanks for such a wonderful, well crafted and deeply soulful mix, Paul. And many thanks to you Rayna for being such an awesome channel for all of this great music.

A Prince classic, during the same time when he was producing his Jazz-fusion group Madhouse. In fact some of the musicians from that group are on this song

A serious groundbreaking song that influenced everyone from Organized Confusion, Nas, for its wittiest lyrics and it's steady pulse, bassline and Bob James sample.

original 'bubbler' master, king Dillinger. Wow, what a superb mix of music and styles that I can remember listening to since I was no more than 4 years old.
