About

With a career spanning over 19 years, Model T has played it all. Starting in the early 90s he was a regular performer under the name of The Alchemist dropping peaktime and morning Psy Trance at the many Tasmanian bush parties of the era alongside names such as Ray Castle, Nick Taylor and Andrew Till. A highlight of this period was when he travelled to Amsterdam in 1997, playing at the legendary Trance Buddha and Global Chillage Coffeeshop, sharing the bill with names such as Tsuyoshi Suzuki.

In the late 90s he was called away from the bush and into the club, dedicating himself for the next 12 years to the rolling bassline of Drum 'n' Bass. During this time, Model T supported some of the worlds finest Drum n Bass talent such as Andy C, Goldie, Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, DJ Friction, Teebee - just to name a few. As well as playing alongside such legends, in November 2010, Model T also played the opening party of the Paradise in Bali festival in Indonesia. Set at the SOS Bar in Seminyak with Bali's best sunset view, he played the sunset set, which was also simulcast on BaliFM.

In 2010, Model T changed tack once again. Inspired by the SE Queensland outdoor festivals and Cairns Winter Solstice, he returned to the decks but this time with the intention of crafting techno inspired sets to be played in the outdoors. His most recent mix - Shake Some Dust - is a reflection of this new direction. In 2011, Model T performed his first outdoor techno set at the Symbiotic Harmony festival, held in the lush surrounds of Tasmania.

From 2007-2009, Model T was also the host of Flex Time with Model T, a weekly 2hr internet radio show on the now defunct krankydigital.com.

After reigniting his love of raving in the bush, and inspired by the variety of techno styles being played at festivals such as Earth Frequency Festival, Cairns Winter Solstice and the many parties in SE Qld, he returned to the decks but this time pushing a carefully crafted techno sound.

Having been brought up through trance, regardless of genre, Model T has the skills to construct progressive and well thought out sets. He remains dedicated to the bush and a journeyman at heart.

In late 2012, Model T started working with Melbourne crew Tom Sawyee Productions.
