About
NEXT SCIENTIFIC RADIO WILL AIR ON: Monday June 3rd from 23.00 till 1.00 (CET) and will be hosted by Mav. Tune in through www.bassdrive.com
The roots of Mobility can be found in 2003, when two roommates, upon finding similarities in their taste in music, decided to collaborate on a few tracks. During that same year two of them got released as a 12" on the long gone Dutch drum 'n bass label Purified Audio. After moving out the former roommates had undertaken some attempts upon salvaging the project, but after losing drum 'n bass as their common ground it got shelved indefinitely.
In 2009 one of the former members stumbled upon a dj set by Doc Scott and really liked what he heard. He liked it so much he even started picking up new vinyl and decided to polish up his mixing abilities. Together with long time friend and apt drum 'n bass devourer/spinner Vin-E, he decided to revive Mobility as a dj duo (for now, new tracks may also appear in the future). Now, these two collaborators intend to present a selection of their favourite cuts from the world of drum 'n bass through their own created dj sets.
Their craftsmanship didn't go unnoticed. After a guest appearance on Dutch radiostation Radio Aalsmeer in the summer of 2010 they received a regular spot for their own show called "170 Feel". After doing the show for over two years they decided it was time to move on. They started looking for a spot where they would be able to reach out to the dnb audience. A call from fellow DJ/producer Mav provided them with the opportunity to join forces with him on his monthly show called "Scientific Radio" on Bassdrive.com. After already providing three guestmixes for the show in 2012 it was a smooth transition. Mobility hosted its first Scientific Radio show on January 7th 2013 and are only looking forward from there.
Over the course of 2012 Mobility quietly started to work on tracks again. We'll be updating you about this in the near future.
All our radioshows can be found on www.mixcloud.com/mobility for your listening pleasure. Mav will upload every installment of Scientific Radio to his page: Mav.
