Awesome mix. Just a shame that it doesn't include EVERY number one. (Bright eyes - Art Garfunkle May 1979) ;p

I've always found the synth in Bette Davis Eyes amazing in its simplicity.

Question: I recognized “Please Mr. Postman” and “The Locomotion” appearing more than once. Were there other songs that made it at least twice?

QUEEN! Simply couldn't miss ... Crazy Little Thing Called Love!
      Although, lacking Bohemian Rhapsody...

I love all these oldies - take me back to holidays where we'd listen to old records =)

up until about 1/4 of the way through I was like: "I think I know that song... Do I know that song? No, I don't know that one..."
After the 1/4th mark I started bopping around and singing along with practically every song.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm now on a mission to hunt down all those songs to properly sing my heart out. :)

The only Mark Ford, Drake-Chenault updated version from '77 through '81 are the original radio station LP copies (or stereo tape copies). You might try to locate LP collectors of Radio programs. Look for "The History Of Rock And Roll" by D-C, it is the last hour. There was also a "Making of The HRR" disc/tape sent out to stations as a promo which tells the production story.

@msk225: Very understandable - the music from that time is impressive - I *love* "Oh What A Night" :)

@maristela1968: It's quite impressive how much they still appeal to everybody's ear, even after all those years - and the amount of no 1.s in a row!
