Who is MixmstrStel?
MixmstrStel (say: Mixmaster Stel), also known as the Mixmaster, is a Boston-based DJ and producer known for making great sounding mashups and mixes in both the pop and dance music genres.

What is Stelmix?
Stelmix (as one word) was always (and still is) a production label, not a person. I use it as a stamp of quality for every mix I've done alone since 2006. The MixmstrStel name did not come about until 2010. Also it feels tongue-twisted to say "MixmstrStel Mashup", so I've kept the Stelmix name until mid-2013, when it was abandoned.

Critical acclaim:
My work has been featured on various blogs, including the prestigious Bootie Mashup blog (bootiemashup.com), Mashup Your Bootz (mashupyourbootz.com), Sosimpull (sosimpull.com), Steady130 (steady130.com), Mixes and Mashups (Facebook page), Hypem (hypem.com), MashupCiti (mashupciti.com), DML (dml.com), and Remixchart.com, among many others.

I even received a radio feature on the internationally syndicated Remix Top 30 Countdown (with Hollywood Hamilton) for my famous new-school vs. old-school mashup, "This Is How We Party Rock" (LMFAO vs. Montell Jordan), which was a huge hit in record pools and many DJ circles.

My famous Va Va Voom edit got featured on the Remix Top 30 as well.

What makes MixmstrStel unique?
I am one of the very first to introduce the concept of multiple versions of and "parts" to mashups to help DJs mix better. This can prevent off-key transitions from mixing radio edits.

This versioning started with the widely successful "We R Dynamite," which has SEVERAL versions (radio, album, mixshow, definitive). Using pro software, I create these mashups with the peace of mind that the overall song will be ON-KEY when the tracks are blended together. The Mixmaster NEVER adds songs JUST for the sake of popularity.

My motto: Quality of mix over quantity of artists. Innovation, not imitation.
