A live performance at the Electric Picnic Festival, Ireland of 'Berlin Alexanderplatz' from the forthecoming album of the same name by miXile. The original demos (also available on Soundcloud) were taken to festivals in France, Transylvania and Ireland and each improvised performance saw changes to the original material. Performances were recorded.
This performance was recorded on the 02 September at the Electric Picnic on the Body and Soul Peace Pagoda. A 2nd performance took place on the same stage 2 nights later and has not been uploaded yet.
No post performance editing or mixing has been done so you'll hear the occasional bum note and frequency/volume glitch but such is the way of live improvised music.
All field recordings used were made in Berlin during the period Oct 2010 - May 2011.
The final album will be formed from recordings from each performance, the original demos and whatever else happens once I go back into the studio in October 2011 with final mixing taking place in Berlin probably early 2012. The project should be completed Spring 2012. At that stage I'll figure on how best to get it out, preferably for free.
Enjoy, download for free and feedback welcome.
