Hi everyone! My name is Mike and I am a pianist, composer, trombonist, storm chaser, conservationist, camp counselor, freebird, and a dreamer. I love music and environmental science/ conservation work and do not ever see myself doing anything else.

I began composing in September of 2011 after being inspired over the summer. During that first month, I wrote this piece titled: "His Lasting Light" for SATB Choir, based on a beautiful poem by Karen Shaw Matteson. It was premiered by East central College Choir on April 24th of this year and was fantastic! I have been writing intensely ever since and am exploring and finding different sounds. I plan to have this composition repetoire that I have been building over the last year to be premiered in much of 2013.
