In an industry inundated with people of questionable talent, it’s refreshing to know that there is someone out there with the ability and presence it takes to make a mark; that man is none other than Mike Ivy. Whether he’s spinning for crowds around the world or churning out dance music hits through his other monikers (Ivy & Rose, MaD House Muzik Productions, FM and SL5) this man is destined for great things and the public has taken notice.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mike Ivy developed a passion for music at an early age, which was cultivated by mix shows he would catch on the radio. His passion would soon turn into pure obsession as he began to perfect what would be known as his sound: A unique blend of driving rhythms, & pulsing electronic basslines, equal parts funky, progressive, hard and sexy. His objective was to take the listener on a ride; a musical journey fusing each element of his sound into one spellbinding rhythm, resulting in crowded dance floors and sweat soaked club goers.

It worked! DJ Mike Ivy has spun for crowds at some of New York City’s most memorable night spots including Club Exit, NV, Spirit, Life and the NYC nightlife staple, Limelight. The buzz that soon followed awarded him with gigs at some of the most popular clubs around like Crobar NY, Pacha NY, Cielo NY, Club Deep, Marquee NY, Sol, Cellar Bar, and LeSouk, where he enjoys monthly residencies. He has also spun his magic at Tavern, and CPI, in the Hamptons, New Jersey’s Coliseum and Florida’s Nocturnal, Twist, and all the various WMC parties. To boot, Ivy’s resume also boasts parties in Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Baltimore. The demand for his DJing skills also reached our neighbors up north where Ivy played to capacity crowds in Toronto, Canada. Mike further expanded his fan base when he took his brand of music globally, in the best clubs in countries like Greece, Portugal, UK, Jamaica, Mexico, and Brazil.

His booming DJing career aside, Mike Ivy forged quite a name for himself working with some of the most innovative minds in the dance world today. He has remixed or produced some of the hottest dance tracks on the market, with several tracks breaking the top 100 Beatport and Traxsource sales charts or appearing on several mix compilations throughtout the world. He also has had his song featured on hit shows like The Jersey Shore.

Top global DJs from around the world such as Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Chris Lake, Umek, Matt Darey, Victor Calderone, Fedde Le Grand, Chus & Ceballos, Peter Gelderblom, Stonebridge and many more, are supporters of his remix and production work, playing his tracks at clubs, radio shows as well as charting his hits on music charts from around the world. In addition, his music is currently signed with some of the best labels from all around the world like Subliminal Records (US), HotFingers / 303 Lovers (Italy), Younan Music (US), Skint (UK), Lickin’ Tribe Records (Germany), Strictly Rhythm (US), Nanowave Trax (Japan), Nervous (US), Quanza (Egypt), Filthy Groovin (UK), and Loop 128 Records (Portugal), just to name a few.

Presently, Mike Ivy finds himself dividing his time between the rigors of life on the road and working in the studio. He has been heard playing live to house music fanatics on radio stations like WNYU 89.1 with their Friday Night Express Mix Show and 105.3’s own House Nation Mix Show as well as several international radio shows. To boot, he’s also played guest spots on the live internet radio show new york city underground where he was heard playing for thousands of rabid fans. Additionally, on top of his already established monthly residencies, Ivy nabbed one of the most sought after gigs for a DJ: a live show on Sirius Satellite Radio. With both confirmed and pending DJ gigs on the horizon and a slew of records ready to drop, it’s not a wonder why his is the name on everyone’s lips.
