Some singers make music & others ARE music. Kelsey belongs to the later category in my opinion. When I first heard Kelsey's voice I fell in love musically ;) She uploaded her 'Tears in wine' as a vocal stem with a creative common license. Since I very much like to challenge my skills this was one challenge of proportion in my view. I not only wanted to 'give it a try' while staying honest with my opinion and of others but - if I should do this - I needed to do justice to such a wonderful voice. It became quite a project for me with a few technical obstacles - as usual ;)
Kelsey appeared to be very enthusiastic about the first demo. This took away my first concern. Despite of that I first stayed unsure. It is good to be critical in the process creating and mixing I think. And at a certain point you have to say 'this is it'. So guys, this is it! I hope you will enjoy this special collaboration.

@Steve Ferguson: this track fruited from Kelsey's stem. I felt so thrilled about it that I needed to try to make it into something like this. Though I find it still hard to be fully satisfied with it (it has been quite a project) I am so happy I was given the opportunity to make this happen :)))

@Stanimir Marinov: Thank you so much Stanimir. About the drums: I too am not satisfied about it. The cymbals sounds to dominant for instance. Next time I program such I think I need to mix the drum sounds separately for a better balance... Kelsey is such a talent and it was a pleasure working with her stem :))
