About
Music is not only a hobby, but a place of refuge.
There are mostly ios creations but I'll play some guitar and what not here and there. Sound is a giant sand box. On going battle with hoarding got me an odd collection of instruments which I should learn how to record better. I would be interested in more collaborations so inbox me if interested. Good thing it wasn't the Apocalypse theres too much cool music I still have to hear :)
Check out these folks while your listening:
apapdop
doucetephemere
John Van Morrison
Michaelw
really liking what you have done with the doorbell and the constant chug of the timer
@apapdop: one of my favorite things to experiment with samplr is to force loops to become instruments. Thanks for checking it out, I try to keep things together if only with duct tape :)
@Michaelw: Thank you, I am always looking for new ways to mangle sounds
@ZachDaRiddla: Thanks
@apapdop: thank you, I have been enjoying the process of foraging for sounds. I picked up a few panning tricks listening to your tracks.
I'm liking the finger cymbal percussion, adds to the witchcraft feel
This track keeps getting better and better
Love the war drums feel on the snare
Sounds like their a voice hiding somewhere, maybe aliens.
Good job on mashing these pieces together flows nicely, and props to everyone who contributed
you really brought a mere door bell to another level, very cool
a bit of a different style than I heard from you but still has a certain lovelyness to it
loved the glitchy distorted beat, you have got a knack for the ielectribe. The sample was a nice touch as well.
thanks
Ive been checking out this app as well, this makes me think of sci fi aliens
Has a bit of a jazzy vibe with the bell
Has a relaxed happy feel to it, i've used it a bit lately strikes me as figure's nerdy sibling. An interesting style to build out of this app but it fits well with your other funky tracks.
Cool track, im a sucker for tablas.
Really cool use of the ims20
Hypnotic groove, and a clear sounding mix
@apapdop: the fierce wind sounds were ppg wave mapper. That synth creates such interesting sounds, thanks for listening
@doucetephemere: thank you
@Michaelw: thanks
The lead voice was an interesting contrast to the 303 bass really mellowed things out
Quite a wild ride
Amidio's goofy color scheme on the ui made their apps seem cheesy but im starting to like them, valid point on the pills i could rant all day
Was this all coaxed out of a phone recording? That was some superb sampke manipulating
@Angel José: the creator of the film had a great idea with a remixable trailer, a good way to get lots more people to hear of it. Glad you liked it
@Masaya Ozaki: didn't use any samples here but I did put the video version up, thanks for checking it out
@oldlibmike: thanks, both of those apps are pretty cool now that Seline IAP's went free
@apapdop: I like that description "slightly more deranged" I kept inching up the different effects throughout the track. Turnado really blows livefx out of water though its a bit processer heavy on my ipad 2
@doucetephemere: Turnado is a quality app there are loads of different presets and you can run up to 8 if your ipad can take it. Thanks for listening
@Metallic☯Clouds: thanks, I created those by granularizing other loops from the tracks
@manom_: thanks
the cello sounds very nice
the groove has lot of energy
sounds like an alien invasion here at the end with huge machine like noises, cool track
haunting vibe here
@oldlibmike: thanks, I now mostly use nanostudio on my iphone during lunch break at work since audiobus is too much for my little iphone 4. I kinda like chipping away at a track in tiny 15 minute intervals.
Like the way it builds towards the end, the string section sounds good as well
