About
I am a sound recordist, specialising mainly in nature recording. I have been involved in countless TV documentaries and radio with over 150 feature films to boot. I have recorded in over 40 countries. If you were able to upload all my sounds to an iPod it would play for over 1137.5 days continuously.

@Vicki Powys: I was made aware of the Corellas, I didn't get to take any pictures in PNG so that was from OZZ on my way back. Too many sharp eyed people to get away with it. I changed it now to the canopy. I had a 100% ID on the Cockies.
@Vicki Powys: The conversation between the birds coupled with the insect orchestra is brilliant, Viki. I recorded over 10 hours of this stuff through the night into the dawn
@wildearthvoices: I do not know if it was consecrated Mark but it is a pile of shite for sure!
@wildearthvoices: I'm told the deep monkey type sounds are doves. Unconfirmed Mark...
@nordicnature: I believe it is a Palm Cockatoo
Very nice definition, lovely stereo
Absolutely brilliant.. My type of recording....
Extremely nice stuff Dan....
Power substation blows after a tree falls on the power line
nice with headphones if possible... if not try with a good speaker system.
new section layered
some nice leafy sounds of the bamboo
Winds intensify
Varied thrush calls
Red Winged blackbird take off
@wildearthvoices: It does Mark, so does the Northern Pygmy owl etc.... Sometimes I recon they were all taught to sing together....
@nordicnature: The harmonics are up there at 18 kHz
@nordicnature: 16-18 KHZ
If you can hear these high calls you have good hearing
@Listening Earth: When are you going Andrew? I just did a job there with Lemurs, tremendous place but sad... so much deforestation.
This is a personal recording made of my mum on Christmas day 2006, 2 years before her death.... This is not intended for a listening party, just my family and a bit of nostalgia
Very nice indeed
Very nice Jaki..... I can see the dolphins riding the waves free here...
