The fourth release on fast rising Mija Recordings comes from Jamie Anderson with guest vocals from Chicago Acid House legend Mr K-Alexi.

Jamie Anderson has been a mainstay & pioneer on the global tech house & techno scene for over 15 years and has previously released on many respected labels, such as Harthouse, NRK, Honchos, Klang Elektronik, Rotation, and of course his own Artform. This past year has seen his partnership with Deepgroove (aka Deepgroove & Jamie Anderson) land them releases on Cocoon, Rekids and Harthouse.

K-Alexi is known as one of Chicago's true heroes and cited by many as a pioneer of the city's sound. His seminal classic “All for Lee Sah” on Transmat (1989) is still hailed as being an inspirational record for many techno artists. A tally of successful hit records, remixing and collaborating with other artists resulted in his talents being sought by a diverse range of artists including The Pet Shop Boys, DJ Deep, Derrick May, Paul Johnson, Kenny Dope, Rolando, Maurice Joshua, Marshal Jefferson, Marc Romboy, Mark Grant, Larry Heard & Robert Owens, Dave Angel, Felix Da Housecat and even Will Smith! The legendary Kaay’s classic chi-town vocals are now featured of this next exciting release on Mija Recordings.

This release was developed when Mija label boss Louis Osbourne asked Jamie (who also remixed Celtec Twinz - Sorbit Orbit - Mija 002) if he would like to re-work of one of his earlier trax ("Tornado") which Louis had licensed to his “Beats Reality” mix compilation back in 2004. “Tornado” was a lethal club tool that stayed in Louis’ and many other Techno DJ’s record boxes for many years. After bouncing around some ideas Jamie decided it was best that he did a complete remake of the track using some of the original sounds from “Tornado.” The end result is the superb 2009 version, called “Cyclone.”

On listening to the original dub version, Louis suggested that it would sound great with a vocal, and contacted K-Alexi, as Kaay’s “All For Lee Sah” is one of Louis’ favourite classic acid house records. So the track was sent to Kaay and he worked up the vocal. The rest, as they say, will be history.

Both trax are aimed squarely at the floor and have the ability to take the roof off any self-respecting club night anywhere. From the club plays where Louis & Jamie have tested the tracks, the response has been HUGE! These trax build up like a pressure cooker! A remix package is due to drop later in 2010, with some BIG names climbing on board with their interpretations, so watch out for those in a few months time.

This is Mija’s 4th release, and probably their best yet..... It's like a Cyclone, baby!
