An Australian expat, Mids moved to London in July 2007 and in August was invited to play his all original beats in the Beats Bubble at Bloom Festival alongside heavyweights like Pendulum, Baobinga and Sinden.

In February 2008 Mids joined forces with two like minded lads and started running the infamous Dim Sum nights in London's East End. What started as a desire to play out and showcase their own music, the Dim Sum brand he created has taken on a life of its own. Over 2008 the Dim Sum events played host to numerous up and comers and scene stalwarts including Aquasky, The Body Snatchers feat MC Frilla (album launch), Disco of Doom, Micah, Groove Diggerz, Future Funk Squad and many more. Dim Sum celebrated their first birthday with a rammed two floor extravaganza featuring James Harcourt and The Loose Cannons.

Emerging onto the scene as a purely live act, Mids performed his own compositions on a laptop and sampler, manipulating the sound with an fx unit and controllers. His live performances caught the attention of Electronic Luxury who invited him to play at the Newcastle Green Gathering Festival. He took to DJing to expand his repertoire in late 2008 and played his debut a month later. With a penchant for anything with a solid rhythm, a Mids set can encompass anything from breaks and tech-house to minimal to drum and bass and his energy behind the decks is a welcome change from the stiff DJing sometimes found on the scene.

With a series of remixes, original productions and collaborations, as well as DJ dates, 2009 is set to be another big year for Mids.
