From all four corners of the Midlands Breakbeat trio Midland Breaks (Andy Harrison, Pete O'Donnell and Ian Bowyer) are certainly a force to be reckoned with. By gaining respect over the airwaves for ground breaking Dj sets and spreading the Breakbeat sound across the nation.
The Breakbeat act Midland Breaks has performed at festivals and venues up and down the country such as Leeds Festival, Run To The Sun, The Custard Factory, Cellar Door @ The Rainbow, Q Club, Sanctuary/HMV Institute, The Ace Cafe in London and have played alongside many established artists such as The Audio Bullies, 2many Dj's, Evil Nine, James Zabiela, Jay Cunning, Pyramid, High Rankin, Ellis D, LTJ Bukem Ed209 amongst a host of others.
Aside all of this they are the people behind Midlands based clubbing brand 'Breakdown' which has built a reputation of using mind blowing sounds systems such as the notorious Funktion One.
Looking further back into the past Midland Breaks members played a major part in the old school Rave scene back in the early 90's, have played mainroom sets at Atomic Jam, And run reputable record shop 'Bridge Records' and they even go back as far as being apart of Hip Hop group Q-Branch, which was recognised for one of their vidoes and was played on Music Channel 'Channel U'.
2010 proved to be a a monumental year for the boys, being very much in demand and playing to crowds all around the country week in, week out. This was topped off by hosting there own Arena at the legendary Q Club, which without a doubt proved to be a massive success. Following on from an act such as The Audio Bullies is certainly no easy task, but Midland Breaks filled the slot Impeccably, having people literally bouncing for the hour and a half they played - a true testament to what these guys are capable of.
This has opened many more opportunities within the music world and 2011 is already billing up to be one of huge proportion. It's safe to say Breakbeat trio Midlands Breaks have a very strong musical background which massively reflects on the artists they are today
