Oh this really reminds e of the days when I couldn't wait to hear the BIG music. Love the instrumentation!

This is where it really kicks in for me...love the grim urgency that these crunchy chords usher in.

I've never heard this song before. Amazing distorted fiddle and hypnotic groove & lyric here. Listening to your creations has been quite a joy for the last 20 years of my life. Thank you for all those gifts.

the song is having quite an evocative effect on me as I listen to it... I'm an American so i'm associating the lyrics closely with George W. Bush, the war in Iraq, the nightmare reality can resemble when power is abused. The perversion of religion and spirituality when it is used to justify war. Confusion, sacred imagery and profane intentions... I'm sure there is a timeless quality to the words and scenarios presented, but man, these recent years came rushing back to me...

@mickpuck: oh, I see, no probs, I can write some more folk rock tunes myself to compensate :)

@Banjomannen: Ah but folk rock isn't my roots. Rock'n'roll is my roots, and Wickham's too. We grew up with The Stones, Bowie and Ronson. Folk music came later for both of us.

This is a cool and good song, but when will you get back to your roots and do a bit of folk rock music, I loved "room to roam" and I notice that the trend is turning to the early 90's, so I think it's time :)
