Mick Mengucci, born in Rimini, Italy, and actually lives in Lisbon, Portugal, after many travels around the world in places like: Bahia, La Habana, San Francisco; places and people faces visited and lived that influenced his way of playing the guitar, composing music and singing. Carrying this treasure in his heart, he always composed under a nickname Mix*ura*ura (that can not be shown entirely on the net because somebody bought the copyright for it) so the musical intention of the Mix*ura*ura idea found a home in the mixed cultural environment of modern Portugal, where Mick met many music and art friends from Portugal, all europe and especially Capo Verde, Angola and Brasil. The music produced by this eternal trip is a kind of funk inspired by brasilian ritmics (samba, afoxè, baião e maracatú), cuban (som e rumba) and african (coladeira e batuque di Capo Verde, semba e kilapanga di Angola, gumbé della Guinea), colored by bossa-nova style harmony. The musics played by Mix*ura*ura are original compositions with lyrics in Portuguese, English and Italian but also in Spanish, French, Crioulo, Kimbundo, Romagnolo. The live session of Mix*ura*ura are led by the knowledge that Music has the power to change the energy of the environment: thats why it must be always played with pure heart and consciousness.
