YES!!!! F***in sick! Man this is a killer groove!!! My favorite of them all so far mate! Im really into this not too hard but soulful tech flavour at the moment and this is really providing that feeling! Got hints of jacking house, slices of minimal percussion and movement and drops to keep the heads and feet moving! Really VERY impressed! What a top track! Will say my favourite on here so far! Would love to know if this will get released! I would rinse it!

Smoking!!!! :) Would love to get my hands on this mate. Nice update! Have you mixed it down again?
- Rich Jones on May 26, 2009 22:58
@Margovan: yes mate, mixed it down again today - the shakers were totally lost in the previous mix, that was one of the main things i remedied....
-
@Rich Jones: Sweet. Admire your awareness because I didnt really notice that. I just got lost in your techno realm :)

Very good production, very meaty! Id say it was more techno...but thats typical of today. Can anyone differenciate Deep House from Techno now?? Love this!

Finally! I've been trying to track this down for about 7 years! Had it on minidisc from a Gilles Peterson show but could never work out who it was. Bravo - one of my favourite tracks ever. Totally inspiring. Dare I ask how long it took you to make?
-
nice that you found it! well i made the first version on a train actually, but then the track went through 2-3 iterations over a period of probably a year or so. i actually thought in the beginning that the track wasn't strong enough.. but then something happened and it became quite interesting.

This is why i love double bass so much. It's just sounds perfect and always brings something more to the song. Perfect example here. Gives the song an even more jazzy touch.

This absurdly long house/boogie-style epos was part of our live sets in 2004. I really love the arpeggiated synth that overlay parts of the track, it just gets harder and harder. - unreleased test 1 Artwork
