    Prelude No. 24 - Chopin

This piece is inspired by the recent Japanese disaster. A friend of mine is from northern Japan and I have been particularly moved by her stories, hence the style of the music. I have a few Japanese instruments in here such as Koto and Taiko drums. Kamaishi City is also based on the Japanese akebono scale which you can hear outlined in the beginning. The theme is transposed a 4th and inverted after the 'quake section' which leaves us with a more powerful melodic and harmonic statement which change the mood drastically. I hope you enjoy!

@matthewmickelsen: Thanks a lot! I would love to record solo violin on this bad boy to round things out too.
