I wanted to get the feeling that its a raw recording straight out of the garage!
And that it sounds like a 70s song, or at least what I imagine how a 70s song sounds.
Reference track used was London Calling and a Creedence Clearwater track.
DAW: Ableton Live
Ableton Eq and the usual suspects+ 2x the Softube Amp room for the guitar
(i have a sent with one on the left and on the right with different settings- on that return is also a bit of the bass and the vox)
Comp: Softube FET and the pultec looking one thing and Ableton Glue comp
Verb: Reverberate with a short EMT impulse loaded
Echo: free WatKat (much awesomness!)
No drastic Eqing ecxept on the kik :) -because I like drums. so spotlight on le drums!
Ableton Eq and Glue comp did the job with some limiting and FET comp.
The snare is also a bit limited - some of the transients were too much.
I pretty much ignored the chaos of the cymbals on the snare track but I gated it a little with the Ableton gate.
The swamp guitar had to stay gentle in my opinion but ot got a nice stereo field with the two Amp rooms and a bit WatKat.
On lizas vox were: lopass, little boosts on the highs and an La2A emulation from Cakewalk.
