About

what you have here is a tiny glimpse of meshmass in action. never the finished article, but regular updates from the factory floor, where new meshmass is grown in vats and beaten out of sheets. we offer a subscription service:- one hour of new meshmassmusic every month for an annual fee of £15, €20 or $20.... contact auralwitness@gmail.com. or through soundcloud mail. we welcome collaboration, remix, resampling and use of our music in video and performance projects, as ambience for exhibitions and other public spaces and as an accompaniment to daily life. we will come and play at your house if asked for a small negotiable fee. we can play for 2 hours at domestic volume (no live drums) and play a set tailored to your needs.
we are peter pick and richard miles, both also available separately on soundcloud making rather different music.
we have a subsidiary 'live' page now to try to get gigs..... meshmass - live but i've forgotten the password so it's a bit out of date.

meshmass peter, richard, wonderful, Britain (UK)

@Tother: yes, i did a bit of work on the processing chain, putting filters on top and bottom on the kits. it's certainly fattened up the bottom end. (no personal comment intended.)

@toddtuttle: it really is, especially when you think you only used to be able to talk to your gran down one. by now richard is playing the guitar and the intrusive distortion comes from my laptop, but the whole structure is from the phone.

@Steam Abacus: ah, there's some great things on that record. the captain is one of the very few non-guitarists one can attribute a guitar style to. there's something about that angular style, slightly distorted sound and use of blues rhythms without necessarily blues harmonies that is uniquely characteristic of the man's output.

it's a pleasantly angular basic loop you have going there, slightly beefheartesque.
