Meschi aka Paul Mitchell is a Glasgow born London resident who for the last 8 years has been djing and playing live to clubs around the UK and Europe. He co-runs www.thisisourhouse.org, a site dedicated to reviewing records, club nights and production gear, as well as featuring interviews from various artists and hosting guest mixes from the likes of Neville Watson, Lerosa and Placid. Meschi and the crew also present 'Our House Radio', a weekly show on www.intergalactic.fm, Thursdays 7-8pm.
Meschi began a life of music at 10 when he learned to play jazz and classical piano, along with guitar and bass playing in numerous bands in and around Glasgow. He progressed to dance music through his early teenage years buying his first set of turntables and a few records. This rapidly grew to a collection encompassing all kinds of music from techno to soul, house to afro-beat, soundtracks, disco, acid, ambient and more. With each addition to an ever growing record collection Meschi built the source of his sound and began composing early ambient and house experiments which ultimately led to his first piece of hardware, the mighty Roland TR-707.
Having released on Lunar Disko and Cyber Dance, Meschi has upcoming releases on Abstract Acid, Snuff Trax and with more exciting plans on the cards later in the year, the Glasgow lad is building a strong reputation for quality productions.
