Denis Salimovic is not a stranger to the electronic scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He had a few releases already under techno name Mehotex (http://www.myspace.com/mehotex). In recent time he decided to dedicate his productions skills to a little bit more relaxing version of techno called Minimal Techno. The idea of the new alias Maximinus is to promote and release Minimal Techno as well as more electric sounds. Also in the new project will be included Live Act ! Denis first touch with electronic music was somewhere around 2003 as he first discovered Trance and Pop, Dance. After this more commercial ways of music he started to be interested in techno music, in particular hardtechno, driving and pounding techno. He started to make music at the age of 15 when his friends gave him some programs for making music. After exploring and researching he started to produce more serious. His first interests in Minimal music came mid-way 2007 as he started to listen this popular style of music. After that he started also to produce Minimal but has never really got too deep in it. Nowadays he decided to give a try in this popular genre which is appreciated by all artist around the globe.
2009 year saw Maximinus release for Germany’s ‘’Monkee Platez’’ label, and his ‘’Where is Love’’ EP and especially his song ‘’Deeply Dissapointed In Love’’ found great success as the song was release on 3 worldwide famous compilations which include names like Pierre Deutschman, Tom Hades, Cave Sedem and other. 2009 was a good year as Maximinus released a couple more releases on labels such Anonima Recordings and Another Chance Records. Later that year Maximinus was part of the new label ‘Wehppa Music’’ in Miami who was opened by Louis David. At the end of the 2009 calendar year Maximinus started to release regularly on Wehppa Music label.
2010 was a busy year for Maximinus, he regularly released on Wehppa Music his own EP-s and appeared on a great number of releases with names like Tex-Rec, Louis David, Galac, Adis, Juan Rojas, Dsan Powell and other. The genres spread from Minimal Techno, Tech-House to Deep House. Apart from Wehppa Music, Maximinus released and appeared on other labels such as Cloud Of Silence, Nanotech Records., Six And Nine Records and other. His collaboration with Filip Fisher was great success as they released they Progressive House ‘’ Apocalypse’’ tune on Six And Nine Records with remix from Jelly For The Babies. The tune latter appeared on the Radio69 Club Rotation Volume 1. The end of 2010 brought also the first album for Maximinus. It was a free experimental-ambiental music album which was released on Akashic Records (germany) label. The album name was ‘Planet Earth’’ and it got good critics and a lot of downloads.
2011 was a bit quiet year as far as production goes for Maximinus because he took time to finish his university work. As far as releases go he still managed to release a lot and help as always some new labels in their debut. He released and mostly appeared on many labels and compilation. The labels names include such as Kidz Luv Tekkno, Four Peas Recordings, Bos Tech Records, Beat Tech Records, Futureaudio. He appeared in next compilations: Bos Tech Sampler Vol.1, Fire Hits: The Essentials Vol. 5, Colours of Deep House, Volume 05 and Beat Cubed Vol. 3. The release of his career came when his track ‘’Music With Soul‘’ (Wehppa Music) appeared in August on the high-class deep house anthems compilation Colours of Deep House, Volume 05 with names such as Steve Bug, Dejan Milicevic, Mathew Hoag, Chris Wood, Victor Maximiliano, Tigerskin, Dirt Crew, Stimming and others. 2011 was also a year where Maximinus started to play more often his Live Acts gig’s performing on open air party’s and clubs in Banja Luka and Bihac mostly.
