MeditActive is Francisco Oliveira. Born 1990 in the Azores islands his interest in music came from a very young age. Listening to alternative rock and trash metal he played drums since he was 12 years old. Later on he discovered electronic music, listening to early techno, house and then discovering psytrance around 2004 going to his first parties. He immediately became amazed with the energy the music transmited to people and after a couple of years around 2007 he gains curiosity and starts experimenting with Fruity Loops. In late 2008 he starts working on Cubase until now. More recently he also starts working with Ableton Live for live sets. His style is now defined as Twilight Fullon, fusing heavy basslines and harsh effects from the nightime with more spatial and melodic sounds frome the daytime the project's goal is to combine the best of both worlds beeing perfect for playing at sunrise. In 2012 he joined Woorpz records and got his first release out to the public on a compilation. In the same year he releases his debut EP "Origins" for the same label. In the end of 2012 he joins the mexican label BioMechanix Records and creates Organic Circle with some friends from his homeland trying to revive the psytrance movement in the Azores. This year, 2013, he releases his second EP "Boundless" on the acclaimed german label Planet B.E.N Records, as well as some other releases in compilations for Woorpz Records, Kaos Krew Records and BioMechanix Records. MeditActive has shared the stage with artists like Alienn, Zinx, D-maniac, Myrah, Didrapest, Indrapest, Techyon, Holophonik, Psylocibe Project, Tech Twist, Konnektor, Demosys and others. Now he is working on a new E.P to be released this summer on BioMechanix and improving on his live sets more and more delievering a real time live experience instead of just pressing play.
