MeditActive is Francisco Oliveira. Born 1990 in the magical Azores islands, his interest in music came from a young age listening to trash metal and playing drums since he was 13. Later on, around 2005 starts attending psytrance partys and immediately becomes amazed with the energy felt on a psytrance dancefloor, not only felt through the music but also through the energy of the people around you. After a couple of years, in 2008, he gives his first steps in production and creates the MeditActive project. With influences from both night time full-on and some more melodic sounds from the day-time psychedelic, the project's goal is to combine the best of both worlds, fusing heavy basslines and harsh effects that are designed to make your body move with melodic and spacial psychedelic sounds made to free your spirit and your mind. Now with a defined style and improving in quality he started to play his live act this year and got his first releases out on Woorpz Records where he released his debut EP "Origins". Later he joined BioMechanix Records and is going to release a new EP on this label and another one on the acclaimed german label Planet B.E.N. Keep in touch and enjoy the music.
