First Media Assault Group (Mechanized) is a performance and releasing umbrella for industrial, harsh noise, power electronics, death industrial, damnbient, powernoise, agitprop, and experimental sound, video and performance projects both unnamed (operating as sound combat elements of First Media Assault Group (Mechanized) directly), and named (independent audio assault squads and sound-strike units assigned under FMAG command).

FMAG(M) was originally organized as a performance-only unit, and completed its first media assault action in Boston in 1991. The unit was active in San Francisco in the mid-90s, and New York in the early 2000s. After a period on the inactive units list, it was reactivated by Sound Central Command in 2011 and operates out of Radon Basement III, a command bunker strategically located in the hills surrounding the San Francisco / Oakland Metroplex.
