Short bio:

Based in Rome, the portuguese producer and live performer Mechanique (Jaime Paiva) started his career back in 1998, inspired by the industrial influences of Nitzer Ebb and Front 242. From there, he rapidly evolved into the soundscapes of Techno, having his debut EP "Hookers on Dope" on the portuguese label Kaos Records in 2003.

He has, since then, been steadily exploiting the deeper, intense, atmospheric side of electronic music throughout nearly one hundred published works since the start of his career, releasing in labels such as Affin, Arabica and Stripped.

He also signs as his alias Sphitzio, directed towards deeper, darker soundscapes.

Mechanique also performs as Live and DJ, and regularly broadcasting his podcasts in radios such as Proton.

He also runs his label Benthic Recordings.
