This song was written and recorded in 2002 by Cheryl Davis and Bill. Cheryl claimed that is was about a former boy friend she had to leave, but after he got hooked on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (a popular TV show then) - he paid attention to his health, dress, living conditions and became more presentable and personable. So, you can hear Cheryl complaining at first - then noticing the changes he made, she thinks maybe they can get back together - but by then he has remade himself and is happy in his new situation. Cheryl also claimed the song entirely fictional, with inspiration from Queer Eyes and the Preppy Handbook. She never revealed her true inspiration but Bill says it still makes him smile.
