Matthew James became interested in electronic music at the age of 11 years old when he was introduced to music remixes of popular artists of the early 90's such as Janet Jackson, Gloria Estefan, and Madonna. This led to learning of artists abroad; Massive Attack, Orb, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, William Orbit, Sasha, BT and those flying under the radar.
Having been inspired by the melodic sounds of 90's EDM in addition to progressive house, trance, breaks, downtempo, ambient, and world music, MJ strives to weave sounds of numerous genres to present a modern day fusion of lush and flared sounds. He has played numerous clubs and events throughout the American west coast.
