Matte Botteghi, born in 1985 in Bologna, is still a young man, but for a long time he has been making some of the most important Italian clubs dance: Villa delle Rose (Riccione), Coconuts (Rimini), Des Alpes (Madonna di Campiglio, Tn) and Etoile 54 (Perugia) just to name a few. His artistic career began with theater and music, a passion he shares with his father, who is a guitarist and a guitar collector. Up until age 16, he attended acting classes, participating also in the video "Fields Of Gold" by Sting... but then comes the music. His music is halfway between house, electronic and more immediate sounds. His growth is constant, also because he has mastered the secrets of the trade in one of the milestone clubs of Milano Marittima, Caino Fashion Club, where he has been playing since 2006. Between 2012 and 2013 Matte has shared the stage with superstars such as Taboo (Black Eyed Peas), Boy George, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Martin Solveig and Bingo Players. Among others, it is worth mentioning his performance from the main consolle of the Molo Street Parade 2013. Lasting several hours, this performance is still remembered by more than 100,000 people.
2013 is the year of the second single for this DJ producer from Bologna. "Another Day", sung by Canadian vocalist John Biancale and written and produced by a team led by none other than Botteghi, with the participation, among others, on the remix of Federico Scavo. In addition to having had some radio hits in Italy and in Russia, the song was massively promoted by Match Music, and at the end of September was released in Spain under the label "Line -Up". Also in 2013 "Thrift Shop" was released, the only dance cover of the world hit by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis & Wanz, produced under the pseudonym Ro.Bot. This song was a project created by Matte with Robbie Groove from Molto Recordings. The song was played by DJs all over the world, so much so as to be published also in the U.S. on "Water Music Dance". In 2011, his debut single was released, "For The World". Sung by Sam Wood and written and produced by Matte, the song has been included in important compilations (Papeete) and has been played by numerous Italian radio stations.
Between a production and a remix Matte always finds the time to produce Mash-Ups and bootlegs. These are widely used by colleagues at their soirees and even, given the quality of the work, proposed by national broadcasters such as RTL 102.5, Radio Deejay, Radio 105, m2o, etc. Keeping up with Matte, who often produces two or three pieces per month, is virtually impossible, and it is necessary to follow him on his social network sites.
