About
Matt Davey – A Nottingham born DJ and producer whose love for electronic dance music became apparent at an early age. Whilst growing up he was hugely influenced by a synth filled era lead by Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren.
The powerful uplifting atmospheres created by these artists fascinated Matt to the extent of creating such an aura of his own. This inspired him to delve deeper into the musical world, purchasing his own decks and building his own studio. Matt quickly learnt the art of blending music, adapting to modern digital times, mixing in and out of different genres varying from House, Trance and Techno.
With a unique creative approach to mixing, his driving energetic style combined with the harmonic blending of bass lines never fails to impress any crowd he entertains. In recent years Matt has showcased his playing talents over a wide platform, from regular peak time sets with Gatecrasher to warm up sets at Digital Society.
The past few years have seen Matt firmly establish himself amongst the rising stars on today’s Electronic Dance Music circuit. Matt has had regular solid releases on well established record labels such as nu-depth & Neuroscience recordings with tracks such as Back In The Day, Skylines, Apocalypse and Castaway gaining huge global support from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Gate, Sean Tyas, Aly & Fila and John Askew.
Matt’s radio show ‘Dynamic Sessions’ is rapidly gaining a large international following, broadcasting monthly on Afterhours.FM; one of the biggest Electronic Dance Music communities online.
Matt’s imaginative production spectrum sees him release other styles of music under the Mike Delta Progressive House alias. His first tracks Voodoo Magic and The Blacklist back in 2010 were well supported and 2011 brought his first top 10 hit with Game Over reaching 7th place on Audio Jelly’s Progressive House charts.
With an unlimited future ahead of him, Matt Davey is definitely a name you are going to hear a lot more of in 2012!
