The music of "mate (M8)" stands for a variety of styles, therefore it seems quite hard to narrow it down specifically. Starting in 2005, I experimented and worked with many different musicians and songwriters. My first EP "Chasing Memories" was written and produced with the help of Rafael Haymann in 2006. With the initiative of our own, we produced and gave away about 100 cd's. The EP was a mixture of originals and selected covers. You can listen to some of the early originals on my youtube channel.
In the following years, I mainly played acoustic sessions with the guitarist Christoph Ball, who was also involved with the '06-EP.
In 2009 Johannes Bühler and me teamed up and we started to write on new song-material. From then onwards, the songs were not the product of my thoughts only, but a result of the process, jo and me wandered through. Especially the year 2010 was very diversified, if one takes a look at all the songs we recorded. However, we did not really compile all of the material up to now, but we will do this in 2011 and give away the EP for free, I suppose
