TWIZZLE RELEASES NEW SINGLE 'YA KNOW'

Twizzle releases new single 'Ya Know' on 27 February 2012. The rapper, from West London, signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell in 2011 and released his free mixtape 'The End is Near' featuring Wiz Khalifa and Chiddy Bang, in December. Twizzle released two free promo tracks in 2011; Holla @ Me and Pray For Me which gained significant support from BBC Radio 1Xtra's Charlie Sloth, Ace & Vis, and DJ Quincy (Choice FM).

The End is Near mixtape was a successful release, surpassing download numbers of Tinie Tempah's free mixtape on music website 'Mixtape Madness'. As he moves into 2012, Twizzle has recently been picked up by MTV as a 'one to watch', as well as a feature from London Evening Standard around his appearance at the O2 Bubble in December. He also stepped up to support West Coast rapper Game, during his Manchester and Newcastle tour dates in November 2011.

Inspired by US rap including Fabolous, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross, as a teen, Twizzle found a niche for himself in music back home which suited him and which he thought made him stand out from his friends; his own mix of “hip -hop, rap, electro, dance and new wave”.

A remix by GreenMoney of a single produced by Benji Vaughan went on to do more than Twizzle ever expected. 'SkyDiving' ('Str8 Out the Jar' mixtape) became an overnight success, reaching Number 2 on the MTV Base charts and securing support from Radio 1 DJ's Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, and Nick Grimshaw. A chance meeting with rapper Chiddy Bang, secured a collaboration and ignited a tight friendship between the two rappers, which continues to this day. Since the success of Skydiving, Twizzle has performed at
Underage Festival, he's been featured by BBC Introducing and Guardian Music's New Band of the Day.
