    2. matas on July 21, 2008 12:00

@The Observer: it's based on a groove played by larry levan in a documentary 'maestro'. sadly, i'don't know the name of track. now it's a part of a longer track, that's been lying on the my shelf for ages, kinda a tribute to NY disco/house scene...

Jei bent viena lita kainuotu nuo Anties per Pavesi iki galo - tai jau vien tik shia atkarpa buciau pardaves cia Vilniuje uz kokius 15 LT. Excuse me Friends for my lithuanian comment - those three ununderstandabl vocal (sounds like french) parts are dated: 1st "Ymha weewha..." - like 20 years, 2nd one with the wicked bassline - 10 yrs and this rocksound (~40 min) somewhat 25-30. Matai AAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhh. My Mom and Dad went NUTS.

Nice anticlimax here, my brain was warming up for some serious chaos here but settling into the break was just as rewarding.

Maybe anti-climax isn't the right term...

interesting track. how have you done it? do you shift the start over a piano sample?

    2. matas on June 23, 2009 09:05

@humeka: it an arpeggiated MIDI melody. arpeggiator setings are a bit off, and I feed different MIDI loops to it.

Well done, however over here you could pause like a breakdown and just leave the backround light flow and than get backwith full potention after. Finish... well I would stop suddnely i think it would show some sort of character to that track. Anyway I like it but must be little longer with last touch ;)

"house live lithuania gravity live ableton"

My live set from Gravity club in Vilnius. Still a bit rough on the edges, to say at least, but I'll try to upgrade it this summer :) From the technical side it's Ableton Live! 7 runing on my MBP, Akai MPD24 and Nintendo Wiimote controlers and Edirol Firewire interface.

re:"...I'll try to upgrade it this summer."
tai ir sakau... kas dabar june? va,

In June when the nights are shortest and nature is in bloom, Rasa or Kupolinės and Joninės are celebrated. Dew (rasa) was deemed to be a manifestation of life. The greater the dew on the morning of the holiday, the better the harvest that could be expected. On the eve of the holiday girls went to pick herbs, twined wreaths of flowers and decorated themselves with them, decorated their homes, doors and gates and read fortunes. The custom was to extinguish the old fire and start a new one, to visit the plants in the fields and enjoy the beer, cheese and eggs abundantly covering the table. Many went to look for fern flowers and meet the rising sun.

Important rituals were also in place at the end of July during Rugiai. The hostess brought the first sheaf from the field tied in three places and put it in the holy corner of the house – it protected the house and gave people vigour and health. The holiday finished with merry treats. No one dared taste the fruits of the new harvest before Žolinės on 15 August when relatives gathered and together had a meal. Grain and bread were given as offerings. The September festive rituals of “giving grains to God’s protection” were to protect the vigour of the harvest. This tradition was known as Dagotuvės (Daga holiday).
