If you put a stethoscope to his chest all you would hear is womp! womp! womp! Based out of Boston, Voltran, aka Mike Tran, has been tearing up dance floors for the past 5 years. His knowledge stems from his discipline of heavy hitting drums, playing beats in Massachusetts underground band scene for the past 16 years. Voltran’s rise as a major player in Boston’s electronic scene has been nothing short of spectacular. Calling on his beat blasting background, he has made an easy transition into a high energy, face melting, dance floor slayer. Voltran’s specialty is no doubt bass music, but by sticking to an “improvisational” mentality, Voltran’s music draws from every corner of the electronic landscape making it cross over from the auditory plane to the visceral.

With a reputation of dropping heavy beats and technical prowess, he has shared the stage with acts like Klever, Designer Drugs, Calvetron, Tommy Sunshine, Stretch Armstrong, Congo Rock, Udachi, B.Rich, Kids as the bar, Clockwork and many more. Most recently Voltran has also had the pleasure of gracing the stage internationally in Bucharest, Romania. His versatility shines through having played and organized events like Identity Festival, Camp ColdBrook, Disk Jam, Nateva Music Festival, Together Festival, Future Classics, The Drop, Circus, Silent Disco, Members Only, The House, So Dope, Society to party, Harvest Festival and Wormtown to name a few. His roster of venues played in Boston consists of Rise, Goodlife, Middle East downstairs, the Estate, Phoenix Landing, Underbar, Revolution Rock bar, North Star, Kells, Privus, All Asia, Enormous Room, Harper’s Ferry and the list continues. On and off the decks he’s always looking to bring something innovative to the table and push the boundaries tastefully into the unknown. Keep on the look out for Voltran and his new project, "Tens Collective".
