Dr. Gordon Edwards, President of the Canadian Coalition for Nuclear Responsibility (CCNR), was in Saskatoon on September 20, 2011 & spoke on CBC Radio's Bluesky noon phone in program about nuclear issues.
The program got a bit heated when the host described Dr. Edwards information as a "message track" with the following exchange"
CBC Host: "Why not just call your group what it is, you are an anti-nuclear campaigner, you guys are against the nuclear industry, I mean very astute of you in Saskatchewan to try to split uranium from nuclear industry but the two are Siamese twins”.
Dr. Edwards: "Well if they are Siamese twins, then perhaps you guys should be taking back the stuff from Fukushima because it’s Saskatchewan uranium that goes to Tepco and that crap that’s coming out of the cores of Fukushima, maybe they should come back here, is that what you want?”
Good question. Maybe Saskatchewan residents should be asking this of our politicians during this fall's election campaign.
